Here is an excellent online map folks have made for the relief effort. You can edit the map after you sign on. I asked Joey Leary who was working in this area to help with correcting the locations of medical sites around Leogane. Dear Kevin,

I am a pediatrician who had his first taste of mission medicine as a college student at L'Hopital St. Croix. During the earthquake I was in the mountains of Honduras with an Episcopal team on our yearly mission trip there.

I want to help and mobilize my area churches on behalf of L'Hopital St. Croix and the Episcopal school. Reply ASAP.

We just learned that Alice and the House of Hope children in Gressier are OK! She was able to contact her son in the U.S. today to report the good news. I’ve been to old Ste. Philippe & Ste. Jacques–I hope the new building made it. Again, prayers for all the people you hold so dear from that church.

@Deedee: According to the reports I've heard from Fr. Ajax, the whole Holy Trinity Cathedral complex, including the College St. Pierre and the Convent of St. Margaret, has been basically levelled. The story from Episcopal News Service has more details.

The Church of the Good Shepherd (Episcopal) in Burke, VA, supports the House of Hope orphanage in Gressier–we know St. John’s work through the Haiti connection. We haven’t heard anything yet from Gressier and pray that our kids and your parishioners are safe.
